Unlock the door,
Open the door,
Slide in the seat,
Buckle yourself in,
Release the E brake,
Step on the brake,
Put the car in reverse,
Check your rearview mirror,
Make sure nothing is in sight,
Place your foot lightly in gas,
Turn the wheel,
Place foot on brake,
Put car into drive,
Make sure nothing is in your way,
Place foot on gas pedal and,
GO!

Straight forward, and right to the point! Maybe some pictures?
Your poem gives a sense of all the minute steps and the co-ordinated actions that go into the simple everyday routine of getting ready to drive.
The last line gives me the feeling that you are the kind of driver who would go from 0 to 60 miles in a few seconds-- are you like that?
I like the short lines you used, reminds me of doing it fast so I'm not late to work.
Haha, I wish it was that easy!
*is still learning to drive*
Perhaps you should add another step: Blast the stereo!
Good, simple poem!
If someone had only said that to me when I was learning to drive...maybe I wouldn't have wrecked my first 2 cars!
